This 4-day (30 hour) workshop is an introduction to
the basic theories, principles and application of all the
procedures described in The Gift of
Dyslexia. Training is done with a combination of
lectures, demonstrations, group practice, and question and answer
sessions. Attendance is limited to ensure the highest quality of
training.
Participants will learn:
- Proven methods for helping adults and children improve reading,
spelling,
motor coordination, and attention focus.
- How and why the Davis methods were developed.
- How dyslexics think and perceive.
- How to assess for the “gift of dyslexia”.
- How to eliminate confusions and mistakes in basic language symbols.
- How to incorporate the Davis methods in a therapeutic or educational
setting.

Counseling.
- What is Alignment? How is it used? Group Demonstration.
Dial-Setting Procedure:

Academic Units: (USA and Canada only)
3 quarter units (post baccalaureate) are available from California State University, East
Bay. Cost:
$162 to CSU-EB Extension Division + $45 administrative fee to Davis Dyslexia Association International. Pass/Fail or letter grade. Requirements are: attendance during all hours of the course and essay examination on "The Gift of Dyslexia" which may be completed and turned in during the workshop.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
All payments are fully transferable to alternate workshop dates.
Deposits are non-refundable for refund requests made less than 60
days prior to to a workshop. A $65 administrative fee is deducted
from refund requests made earlier than 60 days.
